The Birth of Inner Lifetime

Meet Jade, founder and owner of Inner Lifetime. Jade fully believes in the restorative and transformative powers of yoga and is passionate about sharing it with as many people as possible. Life is full of ups and downs and by drawing on personal experience, Jade's founding principles are based on authenticity, humility and compassion in all aspects of her life.

JADE CANAVAN

Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to read this. 

 I believe that yoga comes to people when the time is right and that, just as life is a journey, so too is the practice of yoga.
 
For me the time came when the pressures of a corporate career, demands of being a single mum and some pretty tough life events caught up with me and collided. My health rapidly declined as a result, and something had to change.
 
I’m not unique though and I have been truly humbled by the people I’ve met and the stories I’ve heard since starting my yoga journey. I’m passionate about listening to others and helping where I can - I found my inner peace through yoga and, if it’s the right time for you, then I’d love to meet you, hear your story and share the benefit of my experience.
 
I completed my yoga training in Thailand, and I ensure that my classes provide a safe, non-judgemental, compassionate space that is tailored to the experience of the room. My preconceptions of yoga were (wrongly) based on notions of contorted bodies and seemingly impossible feats of balance; instead, my teaching focusses on the core philosophy of yoga – self-love,  kindness and self study.  Just as I was taught, I always make sure that my practice is inclusive and nourishing for the soul – whatever your experience or ability.
 
As my illness resulted in years of unpleasant symptoms that mimicked that of the menopause journey, followed by a diagnosis of Pre Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) I decided to offer Hormone yoga. This class is designed to support women going through any challenges in life, whether these are caused from hormonal changes such as the menopause, general PMS or PMDD symptoms, or just exacerbated hormonal issues caused by stress. Hormone and menopause focussed yoga has been a real beacon for me, and I hope I can offer the same to you.
